Sherlock Recruitment is an energetic team of talented recruitment consultants that provide staffing solutions to the construction industry nationwide. Due to continued success and ambitious growth targets we looking to add a Business Development Manager to our Dublin office.

This role will suit an energetic and career focused individual who has previous experience working in a B2B role, someone hoping to learn and progress with our company as we continue to expand.

Responsibilities for this role:

  • Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
  • Research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services – or new ways of reaching existing markets
  • Increasing the value of current clients while attracting new ones.
  • Generate leads and cold call prospective clients
  • Think strategically – seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
  • Keep abreast of trends and changes within the construction industry.

The successful candidate will have a proven record of the below skills:

  • Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets
  • An excellent telephone manner for making initial contact and for ongoing communication with clients and business associates
  • Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients
  • Written and verbal communication skills – needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally.

Salary will be dependent on experience with attractive bonus opportunities on a monthly basis.
